Snapdragon is hosting a night event in China, by 8:00 pm on the 20th of May. The event is said to launch the most anticipated chipsets which are the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ and the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.
The 8 Gen 1+ will have little upgrades on the GPU while maintaining the same CPU structure, let’s hope the overheating problem is fixed on this one.
The 8 Gen 1+ is said to be built on TSMC’s 4nm process. Motorola is expected to be one of the first manufacturers to implement the new SoC in its Upcoming Edge X30 phone.
Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 will reportedly sport four Cortex-A710 performance cores clocked at 2.36GHz and four A510 units humming at 1.8Ghz alongside the Adreno 662 GPU. The Oppo Reno8 which might be unveiled on May 23 is likely to launch with the brand-new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset.
