The Infinix Hot 12 series was launched in Nigeria earlier today, featuring two devices; The Infinix Hot 12 and Infinix Hot 12 play.
The device which was much teased by Infinix, is an entry-level device which features the Mediatek Helio G85 as its powerhouse, backed up by 4GB of Ram.
The display of this device is a 6.82″ IPS LCD panel which has a 90Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, and a HD+ resolution. The Infinix Hot 12 takes its camera design from the Oneplus 9 series and has a durable flat edge design. it has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The rear camera is a triple camera set up with unknown specs, while the camera-looking black dot is just a gimmick. the front camera is an 8 MP shooter housed in a centered hole-punch for the first time since the ‘HOT’ inception.
The device has a big 5000mAh battery for day-to-day usage. It is comes in a 13W charger which isn’t that fast (we all know how transsion phones are always like).The software is still on Android 11, but comes with Infinix’s XOS 7.6
The Infinix Hot 12 Play is the smaller version of the Hot 12 series with downgraded specs but bigger battery. This time it features a 6000 mAh battery, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a dual camera setup.
both devices arrive in four color schemes which are black, white, blue, and green.
Much of its specs is unknown to us now, but will be published later in our spec sheet and full review. the starting prices of the Hot 12 play variants are ₦77,100 ($186) for the 4GB/64GB , ₦86,500 ($208) for the 4GB/128GB, and the main Hot 12 is priced at ₦93,200 ($225)
