Mediatek is working on a new Chipset which is the Dimensity 8100 and reports have confirmed that the
unveiling of this new SoC is going to be in March. This new chipset is basically the Dimensity 8000 which
Mediatek teased back in December, But according to leaks from Digital Chat Station, the chipset is
going to be renamed, changing the 8000 to 8100.
Ps. this chipset was reportedly called Dimensity 7000 previously.
The Dimensity 8100 will have an octa-core CPU, with the four Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at
2.75 GHz. The GPU will be a Mali-G510 which is produced by Arm and hasn’t made an appearance in any
SoC yet. This will apparently be second-in-command to the Dimensity 9000, Mediatek’s best SoC yet.
