In a recent tweet, Infinix announced that the company will add another member to the Note 12 series and this time, no more Helio G96 but now Helio G99.
“We’re thrilled to officially announce we will be working with @MediaTek on implementing the industry’s first powerful Helio G99 processor into a new NOTE 12 series smartphone coming soon.#Infinix #NOTE12Series”
The Helio G99 is an octa-core processor which was was released last month by Mediatek. It is built on TSMC’s 6nm architecture and is made up of 2x Cortex-A76 cores which are clocked up to 2.2 GHz and 6x Cortex A-55 cores that can go up to 2 GHz. The GPU is a Mali-G57 MC2.
So the recently announced Infinix Note 12 VIP will not be the most powerful, though some of the features like 120W fast charging may not be available on this upcoming model as this is common with Infinix devices.
