Oppo launched the Reno 8 in Nigeria today with a similar design to the Reno 7. The device has been launched globally since May and it has a different design from what is being launched in Nigeria Today. In fact, the Global Reno 8 is more powerful that the one launched in Nigeria. let’s get into the specifications and see what I’m talking about.
Oppo Reno 8 Full Specifications
The Display of this device is a 6.43-Inches AMOLED display, having an FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate ( while the competition offers 120Hz at the same price) and 450-600 nits of brightness. This display is protected by Panda twice-reinforced glass.
Moving into the CPU, the Oppo Reno 8 is powered a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chip, aided by 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM (+ 5GB of VRAM) and 256GB of UFS 2.2 Internal storage. The Octa-core chip is built on a 6nm architecture and is designed for efficiency and to bring out the most power it can. it does fairly well on benchmarks. ColorOS 12.1 and Android 12 controls the software.
A triple camera setup has been slapped onto the back of this smartphone and it comprises of a 64MP main camera, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP mono camera. there is also a 32MP selfie camera which is a Sony IMX709 sensor .
Battery capacity on the Oppo Reno 8 is 4,500 mAh and can be charged at a speed of 33W with the superVOOC charging brick that comes in the box. Other features on this device include an in-display, optical fingerprint sensor, NFC reader, stereo speakers.
The device comes on two color ways which are; Dawnlight Gold and Starlight Black.
