Reports from ‘Reliable sources’ have it that the ‘plus’ version of the previously released Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is on the way.
this source tells us that Qualcomm is planing on releasing this Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ by May.
Before this report, rumors have been flying around of this upcoming chip. It was speculated that this new chip would be made using TSMC’s 4nm node which would make it more resistant to overheating and throttling. This could be coming to a reality.
Lenovo and Motorola, OnePlus, and Xiaomi are among the first smartphone makers that will make use of this chip in their coming devices, so we should be expecting 8 Gen 1+ devices from these manufacturers around June
According to these same sources, the company will introduce the latest Snapdragon 7 series chip, which will probably be a direct competitor to Mediatek’s Dimensity 8100.
