Tecno Set to Release The Phantom X2 5G As It’s First Flagship Phone

The Phantom X2 5G is on it’s way. We all Know Tecno makes good entry level, and Mid-Range devices. This year alone, we’ve seen the spectacular Camon 19 series, and the first laptop by Tecno, the Megabook T1, but the company is finally ready to step up their game with the release of their first-ever flagship-worthy device, The Phantom X2 5G.

The Phantom brand is Tecno’s top-tier brand. Last year, they released the Phantom X which was a really good device, except that it had compromises with some areas like performance, and it was a 4G device, but the Phantom X2 is Going head-to-head with the Samsung’s and Xiaomi’s of the world. This leak was gotten from the Youtube channel, Techarena24 which is popular for these types of leaks.

Tecno Phantom X2 5G Alleged Specifications

Firstly, The device comes with the Dimensity 9000 SoC, Mediatek’s 4nm flagship chip that almost beat the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 this year. It is an Octa-core chip with one Cortex-X2 core clocked at 3.05 GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores, each clocked at 2.85 GHz, and four Cortex-A510 cores clocked at 1.80 GHz.

The chip will be aided by 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB of Internal storage space, quite nice for a Tecno phone right? But how does it stack up against the Flagships of the world? well, for comparison, it is more powerful than the Exynos Version of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, according to Geekbench and AnTuTu scores below:

Display

The display of The Phantom X2 5G is a slightly curved one, unlike that of the Phantom X. It is an AMOLED display sized at 6.7-Inches. it’s going to be an FHD+ screen obviously and it will have a 120Hz refresh rate LTPO tech isn’t confirmed yet.

Tecno will get rid of the 3.5mm Audio jack, in order to meet up with the industry’s “flagship standard” since that’s what all the big Android phone manufacturers are doing. I really hope they don’t end up removing the charging brick also.
