Tecno is launching two flagship devices in Dubai, UAE on the 7th of December, 2:30 pm GST. A few months ago, a leakster tipped us on the coming of a flagship Tecno phone, the Phantom X2, well it’s finally going to be launched, alongside a MegaBook S1 laptop.
at the event, we will see how Tecno is collaborating with brands like Android, MediaTek, Intel, and Microsoft to develop better devices for consumers.
Tecno is known for its budget and mid-range devices, but breaking into the flagship market is going to be tough, having competitors like Samsung, Apple, Oneplus, and many more. These days, it isn’t good enough to just put in the best chip (Mediatek Dimensity 9000 is powering this device), materials, and a lot of RAM on a device.
I feel like the three most important things to work on with the release of the Tecno Phantom X2 are the software, Cameras, and pricing. HiOS currently can’t stand toe-to-toe with One UI, MIUI, or Oxygen OS, so it needs to be worked on.
Cameras are another thing that need to be of flagship standard, and i see Tecno doing a lot, developing a lot to make their camera system near perfect.
Tecno is known for overpricing their devices, i mean just look at the Phantom X of 2021, it was priced at over $300, a price it wasn’t worth. This device better be affordable.
There are not much details on the Megabook S1 laptop, but it could have an Intel core i9 chip (and a lot a RAM) since the Megabook T1 has Core i5 and core i7 options, and let’s not forget it’s supposed to be one of Tecno’s flagship device.
