The Best Infinix Phones To Buy In 2022

As much as the Tecno brand sells in Africa, Infinix is also doing numbers in Africa because they are basically the same devices, that is, for most Tecno phones, there is an Infinix alternative.

We recently published a list of the best Tecno devices to get in 2022, so i thought it was best to also release a list of the best Infinix phones, and here it is below, ten of the best Infinix phones to buy in 2022, if you consider buying one (spoilers, the Note 12 series dominate this list).

10. Infinix Hot 12

The is the Big brother to the Hot 12i and if you are a smartphone enthusiast, you might notice that the Hot series and Spark series from Tecno are quite similar. there is a HD+, 6.82-inches screen which has a 90Hz refresh rate.

The Helio G85 sits at the Helm of the Hot 12, backed up by 4GB or 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage space. The camera gimmick on this one has been reduced to one, so we have triple rear cameras, but only two actually work. The fact that this device runs Android 12, but the lower version runs Android 11 blows my mind, where in the smartphone world is that done?

9. Infinix Note 12i

The Note 12i has the body of a Note 12 (G96) but spec-wise, it’s a stripped down version of it. This one has a 720p, LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate.

It has a Helio G85 as its powerhouse, backed up by a single option of 4GB RAM, and 128GB of storage space. It runs Android 12, and XOS 10.6.

Once again, triple back cameras, but only two capable ones which are much more defined; A 50MP wide camera which is also the main shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. there is an 8MP selfie camera housed in a hole-punch on the front.

The battery has fortunately not been stripped down from the regular 5,000 mAh, though when Infinix gives you better devices, it usually comes with a decrease in battery. it now charges faster at 33W.

8. Infinix Note 12

You have to look closely to tell the physical difference between Note 12, and the Note 11 from last year, otherwise, they look the same (spec-wise also), and Infinix isn’t known to recycle designs, it’s one of the reasons i love ’em.

This device has a 6.7-inches AMOLED display, which is has a FHD+ resolution, standard 60Hz, and a bright display, peaking at 1000 nits.

It has a Helio G85 as its powerhouse, backed up by either 4GB or 6GB RAM, and 64GB or 128GB of storage space. It runs Android 12, and XOS 10.6. it has a 5000 mAh battery which charges at 33W.

The Note 12 has three cameras at the back, with two working ones; 50MP wide camera which is also the main shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. there is a 16MP selfie camera on the front.

7. Infinix Note 12 (G96)

The Infinix Note 12 (G96) is one of the Note 12 series which features a Helio G96 chip, backed up by 8GB of RAM, and either 128GB, or 256GB of storage space. the software is covered by Android 12, and XOS 10.6

The display is a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, having a FHD+ resolution, standard 60Hz refresh, and is protected by gorilla glass 3. The rest of the specs, are the same i.e the camera specifications, and the battery

6. Infinix Note 12 5G

The Note 12 5G is one of two note devices this year to have Mediatek Dimensity chips, and its also a 5G device. The Note 12 5G has a 6.7-inches AMOLED display, which has a 1080p resolution, and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.

The Dimensity 810 sits at the helm of this device, aided by 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage space. It runs on Android 12 and XOS 10.6. We still have the same camera configuration and battery with the G96 version above.

5. Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G

The Note 12 Pro 5G is a big brother to the Note 12 5G, which means that it has bigger specs in some areas. the display and its features are all the same with the other version.

The chip (Dimensity 810) is the same, but this time, it comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. The triple camera setup at the back are all actual cameras and they are; A 108MP main camera, and double 2MP depth and macro sensors. It runs on Android 12 and XOS 10.6

4. Infinix Zero X Pro

This was the Infinix star of last year, being a close alternative to Tecno’s Phantom X, but still made this list, despite being a 2021 device. The display is a 6.67-inches, 120Hz, AMOLED display,having a FHD+ resolution. It also houses an optical fingerprint reader under the display.

It is powered by the much older Helio G95, aided by 8GB of RAM, and either 128GB or 256GB of storage. The Triple camera setup was the actual star, coupled with its ability to picture the moon. There is a main 108MP camera. an 8MP periscope telephoto camera, which has 5x optical zoom and OIS, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. it runs on Android 11 and XOS 10

The battery section of the Zero X Pro is a 4,500 mAh, which charges at a speed of 45W.

3. Infinix Zero 5G

Another device from the Zero series is the Zero 5G which is the best Infinix phone ever made, in terms of performance. It can be likened to the Tecno Pova 5G.

It’s display is a 120Hz, FHD+ LCD display which is sized at 6.78 inches. It features a Dimensity 900 chip, backed up by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It runs on Android 11 and XOS 10.

The cameras are triple, consisting of a 48MP main camera, a 13MP telephoto shooter, and an undefined 2 MP camera. Battery wasn’t compromised here though, as you still get the standard 5,000 mAh battery,with 33W fast charging.

2. Infinix Note 12 VIP

This is the best Infinix phones to come out of 2022 yet. its “VIP” tag says it all. The Note 12 VIP is Infinix ultra budget device. It physically looks different from the rest of the pack, but for performance, it doesn’t wander far off.

Its got a 6.7 inches AMOLED display, which has 120Hz of refresh rate, and FHD+ resolution. the device is powered by the Helio G96 chip, aided by either 4GB or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB, or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

There is a main 108MP camera, and two auxiliary 2MP sensors, which are for ultrawide, and depth photos.

One of the biggest upgrades on this device is the charging speed. it charges the 4,500 mAh battery at a whooping 120W, enough to give it a full charge in 15-17 mins. check out the full review here

1. Infinix Zero Ultra

The Infinix Zero Ultra was launched not quite long ago. This is the mos powerful infinix phone ever produced. it has a 6,8-inches AMOLED display which has a FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-display fingerprint reader.

The Zero ultra is powered by a mediatek Dimensity 920, coupled with 8GB or RAM, and 256GB of Internal storage space. there is option for a memory card though.

The main camera for this phone is a 200MP sensor, aided by a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP sensor. there is a decent 4,500 mAh battery in here. if you thought the charging speed of the Note 12 VIP was impressive, this is even better.
