The much awaited and much teased Vivo X Fold is finally here, the real bummer is that its only available to the Chinese market.
The device is a Flagship one in every aspect, Featuring the Snapdragon 8 gen 1, LTPO AMOLED screens, Quad rear camera setup and so much more.
The Vivo X Fold has a 6.53-inch outer AMOLED display and a folding 8.03-inch, inner AMOLED E5 display equipped with LTPO 3. both displays are equipped 120Hz and HDR10+
Its only the inner display that can reduce its refresh to as low as 1Hz, thanks to the LTPO 3 technology. The folding display uses Schott Ultra thin glass (UTG). it also has a Mate A+ resolution.
The Vivo X Fold runs on Android 12 and it’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, backed up by 12 GB of RAM which will make up for good performance, particularly during gaming.
For Photography, there is a 50MP f/1.8 main camera (OIS enabled) in front of a 1/1.57-inch Samsung GN5 sensor, a 5x periscope zoom camera (with 60x digital zoom), 12MP f/2.4 2x (47mm) zoom camera, and a 48MP f/2.2 114° ultrawide cam.
There are two selfie shooters; one on the inside foldable screen, and the other is on the outside screen. both are housed in hole-punch cutouts.
The Powerhouse isn’t bad, as the Vivo X Fold sports a 4,600 mAh Li-Po battery. You get a 66W charging brick which can fill up the battery in 37 minutes. You also get wireless charging up to 50W and reverse wireless charging at 10W at the same time.
some of the other features include two Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanners (one for each screen), You can have two apps running side by side on the large foldable display. You can also run floating windows on top for an even richer multitasking experience.
There’s also a waist-level viewfinder which splits the screen in an L-shape for shooting at waist level. You can also use this mode to take long-exposure shots with the Vivo X Fold on a flat surface.
